Seafood Week/World Oceans Day

WHY CELEBRATE WORLD OCEANS DAY?

A healthy world ocean is critical to our survival. Every year, World Oceans Day provides a unique opportunity to honor, help protect, and conserve our world’s shared ocean.

 

We will be celebrating World Oceans Day all week long during North Louisiana Seafood Week, June 3 - 8. Come on down to help us celebrate our local heritage and promote sustainable Louisiana seafood to support our local fishermen and help protect our oceans! Free cooking demos with local chefs, handouts, tastings and prizes!  

SALT Restaurant will be open for dinner Mon - Fri until 8 p.m. with regular menu, along with the seafood specials demonstrated that day. Demos are from 4 - 6 p.m. Enjoy 1/2 priced wine bottles with purchase of two entrees all week!

On June 8, we’ll be featuring Mangrove Snapper Tacos with Mango Salsa on our menu all day, which is rated as a green Best Choice seafood according to the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch! Saturday, 6/8 World Oceans Day Cooking Competition at 3 p.m. Local Chefs will bring their own Louisiana seafood dishes that will be judged by local area representatives for a $500 prize! 

Lunch special: Mangrove snapper tacos with mango salsa and avocado crema
